“As a bike fitter for many years I have long lusted after having my own custom, made to measure bike. I spend most weeks having to make changes of stems, bars, saddles etc to get bikes to work better for their owners. I was looking for a gravel bike to take on mixed terrains on multi-day tours. I worked closely with Tom at Barbastelle to bring my proposed bike set up ideas into reality with his in-depth understanding of bike geometry, handling and some other practical considerations such as tyre size for my use case. Then we were able to chat about what components I wanted to spec on the bike for both intended use and the final appearance of the bike. 
Once we had the frame design nailed and selected all the components Tom brought the whole build into reality. When I finally saw the bike the only thing that beat the feeling of excitement was when I took it for my first ride, perfection.
